Job Title: Painter/Decorator (Response Maintenance)

Reporting To: Supervisor
Location: Mallusk
Hours of Work: Mon – Fri 07:30 – 17:00

Role Overview:

Operating within a fast-paced environment this role is responsible for painting the interior and exterior of structures, buildings and other surfaces to a high standard delivering a first-class service to our customer.


Key Duties/Responsibilities

• General painting/decorating duties internally and externally i.e. wallpapering, applying emulsion to walls, ceilings, woodwork etc. 
• All required preparation works
• Working on void and tenanted properties
• Working with other team members to provide a courteous and considerate service to clients and tenants
• Ensure areas of work are left clean and tidy at the end of the day
• Work under the instruction of the site supervisor endeavouring to meet the needs of the client
• Observe the highest levels of health and safety, and use appropriate safety equipment
• Ensure accurate completion and timely submission of any relevant site-based or company documentation electronically or paper based as per requirements of the contract
• Support maintenance teams and help out in other tasks when required

Essential Criteria

• Be time served or appropriately qualified and be able to demonstrate relevant experience
• Valid CSR Card
• have experience in painting with various tools and in various heights and spaces while observing all safety measures
• They must be reliable and possess great attention to detail
• Able to use a PDA smartphone mobile working device.
• Evidence of delivering high levels of customer service.


Desirable criteria
• 2 year's relevant experience in the social housing sector.
• Have good communication skills to meet and deal with our customers
• Be able to undertake specific planned jobs in a professional and timely manner without rework and/ or close supervision.
• Work as part of a team with the ability to work using own initiative.
