Central Fire Station

CFM were appointed by the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service to complete planned electrical upgrade works to their Central Station in Belfast City Centre.

Works consisted of the installation of L2 enhanced fire alarm system complete, whilst maintaining full operation of the existing fire alarm systems until the new system has been commissioned, followed by removal of existing fire alarm system complete. The works also entailed removal of existing ceiling grid systems, and installation of new suspended ceiling grid and tiles system as per specification alongside installation of new lighting within new ceiling grid system. Works were undertaken to the ground, first and second floor of the station.

Works were carefully planned over a 16-week period, ensuring successful installation was carried out while not impacting on the live environment of NIFRS staff who operate delivery of their critical services to the greater Belfast area from this station.
