NIHE appointed CFM as the main contractor of a Pilot scheme to construct it's first ever Low Energy Adaptation Project (LEAP). Construction involved the off-site prefabrication of a modular building, whilst the construction on site was to PassivHaus standards, including installation of Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery System
(MVHR).

NIHE are looking at ways of developing sustainable construction methods with a view to introducing them on future procurements. This project compares traditional construction to that of German PassivHaus standards and will be used as a benchmark against this fabric first approach.
