Whilst apprenticeships are traditionally aimed at school leavers, at CFM we encourage Higher Level Apprenticeships across all age groups.

Our Higher Level Apprenticeship route offers our staff the chance to gain valuable industry experience whilst working alongside their college to achieve their recognised qualifications.

Our Higher Level Apprentices come from a variety of backgrounds, some straight from school having completed their A-Levels, whilst others come with several years industry experience. Never the less, all apprentices are placed on a structured training programme that will compliment that of their chosen college.

Your apprenticeship route will consist of practical experience in your chosen route, alongside training and development in areas such as Health & Safety and further technical based learning.

Our higher level apprenticeships range from Quantity Surveying to Business Administration, all of which are tailored to the needs of the apprentice, and supported by their mentor throughout.

Testimonials

Peadar Coyle - Higher Level Apprentice

"I started my higher level apprenticeship with CFM in 2017 having completed my A-levels. Since then I have progressed from having little to no experience within the construction industry to becoming a valuable member of the QS Department.

I'm currently studying to become a fully qualified Quantity Surveyor with the valuable help of CFM. The apprenticeship scheme provided by CFM has helped me progress to the stage where I'm not a key member of the QS Department working on our MIS Contract"

Eugene Lynn - Maintenance Manager

"I joined CFM 15 years ago as an apprentice joiner. Since then I have been given the opportunity to grow as a person and progress through various management positions, where I am currently South West Area Maintenance Manager.

My apprenticeship with CFM paved the way for me to become a Charted Construction Manager with the CIOB, where they supported my transition from a trades to a managerial role"

Aine McNicholl - Procurement and Supply Chain Manager

"I joined CFM in 2017 as a Graduate Building Surveyor having completed a Masters at Queens University. I had no previous industry experience, however working alongside my mentor I gained experience on site and within the office environment, which allowed me to progress to Project Managaer.

Once I completed my Graduate Programme, I was then encouraged to gain chartership with the CIOB, where I am now a Chartered Construction Manager"
