Your new opportunity:
This role will have overall responsibility for the planning and executing of business critical projects in line with business strategy.
As the lead member of the ERP Delivery Team the IT Manager will coordinate stakeholders across the business and 3rd party contractors to develop and deliver FM ERP Systems implementation projects successfully.
This will involve creation of detailed project plans, and management of project scope, risk, budget etc. Ultimately, the IT Manager ensures that the company’s ERP solutions are implemented successfully across their locations and customer interfaces, and that the architecture of the systems are future proof.
The IT Manager will also support the company’s business applications, running ‘mini-projects’ including change requests, enhancements, and customisations. Supervising the information technology (IT) departments, manages computer systems and software, oversees equipment purchasing and installation, and maintains computer networks, connectivity, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic
• Provide strategic advice on implementation and development of all business process utilising IT data in line with company vision and goals
• Developing and implementing IT policy, compliance, and best practice guides for the organisation
• Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages
• Managing and reporting on allocation of IT budget
• Reporting creation and presentation to Senior Operations Board on department objectives, budget, and IT project updates
• Providing direction and development for IT team members
• Develop & Manage Data to support business reporting requirements
• Central point of contact for all IT business processes and systems
• Implement an IT budget for the organisation as a whole or for specific departments
• Establishes relationships with technology vendors and third parties
• Advise about organisation’s IT equipment, networking, and connectivity needs and purchases products, parts, and services as necessary
• Develop emergency plans for equipment, power, or security failure to preserve technology and data and execute robust testing to ensure plans will work in the event of an incident
• Research and stay up to date regarding new IT equipment and solutions
• Leading the evolvement and implementation of IT systems companywide, utilizing available data to review, monitor, plan and optimize performance
• Review and validate service delivery data along with distributing internal reporting suites to relevant business divisions along with producing associated Standard Operating Procedures
• Provide technical and data security responses and presentations as part of tender responses
• Research and testing of new platforms/products for use throughout the business
• Creation of business cases for board review
• Research and stay up to date regarding new IT equipment and solutions
• Attend industry related exhibitions & workshops to keep up to date of new developments & technologies
• Further development of ERP Management system to support current and future requirements
Management
• Supervise IT department staff, including setting schedules, implementing training, and assessing performance
• Manage a team of specialists in support, installation, networks, and purchasing
• Coordinate IT support, training, and orientation for all users on current and new systems
• Ensure efficient and effective use of IT systems for all users
• Organise troubleshooting or repair when necessary for IT equipment & systems
• Oversee information and system security to ensure a productive and secure IT environment
• Track inventory and status for hardware and software throughout an organisation
• Support operational and administrative staff with the day to day running of contracts via Information Technology systems
• Account management of third-party IT and communication providers to ensure Service Level Agreements are achieved
• Responsible for the Management and monitoring of all CFM’s IT platforms and infrastructures which include Cloud, local servers, Cyber Security, GDPR, Archiving, VOIP system, mobile devices, and back-ups
• To perform any other duties as may be reasonably required to ensure successful delivery of all ongoing works and contracts within the CFM workstream
• To perform the job in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures
Our Requirements:
Essential
• 1+ years’ experience delivering IT Projects to support business operations
• Experience with Computers and Networks
• Experience of Designing, Implementing & developing ERP/ MRP systems or Management IT software
• Possess sound knowledge of Information Technology systems
• Extensive knowledge of business systems, process, and reporting
• Strong project management skills with ability to lead, motivate and inspire excellent performance from colleagues
• A proactive and flexible working approach with the ability to adapt to changing situations
• Experience delivering complex change management / implementation projects across multiple locations
• Knowledge of Databases, SQL etc. Third level qualification required
• Good written & verbal communication skills
• A valid UK Driver’s Licence
Preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a Related Field
• Experience of working within the Facilities Management or Construction sectors
• Experience of working in a fast paced, multi project, KPI pressured target environment
• Good working knowledge of ICT legislation, GDPR, Cyber Security, Archiving and best practice
